Kids Yoga

Having enjoyed the wonderful benefits of yoga in my own self practice, I loved the idea of connecting with children through this ancient practice. I traveled to North India to study with World Peace Yoga, a Yoga Alliance recognized school, and returned home, ready to embark on an exciting journey.

In short, yoga is a system of physical exercises or postures which build strength, flexibility, confidence and concentration; all skills that children can pick up quickly and can feel rewarded for as they practice. Yoga is also about breathing and mindfulness which helps calm body and mind.

These important aspects of yoga can help children: feel more relaxed, focused and motivated; quieten the mind & bring balance to the body; and can also encourage children to realise the importance of taking care of themselves & their bodies.

Kids yoga is about exploring and learning in a fun, safe and playful way. The beauty of yoga is that children can practice alone, with a friend or in a group.
